UK: Deputy Mayor of Merton attended a Raynes Park Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's association event

“Thank you for inviting me"

In celebration of International Peace day, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s association, Raynes Park Branch, held an interfaith event attended by Deputy Mayor of Merton Judy Saunders.

The event was attended by women from any faith or no faith to explore the subject of ‘Why there is suffering’ in the world.

One of the speakers at the event was Pastor of Lighthouse Church, in New Malden, Jenny JayKrishna who said: “Thank you for inviting me. I feel privileged to be part of what the women's association does.”

Other speakers included Dianne Barnet (Wimbledon Synagogue Religion School), Kerry Coke (Major Salvation Army) and Maha Dabbous (Ahmadiyya Muslim Community).
